Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Raashid Din Dar, operating as CodeSmiley ("I", "me", or "my"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website, contact me, or hire me for services including full-stack web development, custom WordPress development, mobile app development, LMS and e-learning systems, and technical consulting.

By using this website or engaging my services, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or submit your information.

02

Information I Collect

The information I collect depends on how you interact with me:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and company name when you fill out a contact or quote form or email me.
  • Project information: briefs, requirements, designs, content, and files you share so I can scope and build your project.
  • Access credentials: hosting, domain, CMS, repository, or server access you provide so I can work on your existing systems.
  • Billing information: your billing name, address, and invoice details. Card details are handled by payment providers, not by me.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and referring website, collected automatically when you browse this site.

I don't knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health, biometric, or financial account data) unless it's strictly necessary for a project and you've agreed to it in writing.

03

How I Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes and proposals.
  • To design, build, deploy, host, and support your project.
  • To send invoices, process payments, and keep financial records.
  • To communicate about milestones, staging links, updates, and support.
  • To keep this website secure, prevent spam and abuse, and improve its performance.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
  • I do not sell your personal data.
  • I do not use your project data or credentials for anything other than your project.
04

Client Project Data

When I build or maintain a product for you, such as a WordPress site, web app, mobile app, or LMS, the personal data of your customers, students, and users belongs to you. In that situation, you are the data controller and I act only as a service provider processing data on your instructions.

  • I only access client data when needed to build, test, debug, migrate, or support your project.
  • I use test or anonymized data on staging environments wherever possible, rather than real user data.
  • Access credentials are used only for your project and should be rotated or revoked by you after handoff. I'm happy to help with this.
  • I never copy production data to personal devices or unrelated systems.

Your own policy: if the product I build collects data from your users (for example forms, accounts, payments, or analytics), you are responsible for publishing your own privacy policy and obtaining any required consent. I can help set up the technical side, such as cookie banners and data export or deletion tools, but legal wording is your responsibility.

12

International Transfers

I work with clients worldwide, and the third-party services I use may store or process data in countries other than your own. Where this happens, I rely on providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for the protection of your information.

13

Policy Changes

I may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in my services, tools, or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always show the latest revision. Significant changes will be communicated to active clients directly.
